  • Three schools participated in today's National History Day competition, Barbara Worth Jr. High, Kennedy Middle, and Meadows Union! Competing in three categories of websites, exhibits and documentary, the participants focused on the history theme of "Conflict & Compromise."  Winners were separated into group and individual projects: Individual Website - Cassidy Taylor and Abigail Schofield, Barbara Worth Jr. High School

  • The Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) is soliciting bids from companies to provide quotes for Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Contractor agrees to provide all supplies necessary for the purchase of AED Devices. All bids must be received no later than 11:00 AM, Friday, March 16, 2018 at Imperial County Office of Education, Student Services Office, 1398 Sperber Road, El Centro, CA 92243 located in Building A. Sealed proposals shall be clearly marked Automated External Defibrillator (AED) 2017-2018 Bid.

  • With 13 schools participating in Speech and 7 schools focusing on Debate, the 9th Annual Speech and Debate Tournament proved to be a resounding success. Hosted by Migrant Education - Region VI, the yearly tournament is a mainstay for showcasing students that are ready to compete with their hard-earned knowledge in public speaking skills and techniques that will serve them for the rest of their lives. All the student participants are winners and it is easy to see with the strong support of their parents, teachers, and schools provide them.

  • Above and Beyond Award Nominations The Above and Beyond Award recognizes individuals or organizations in Imperial County who impact the educational community through leadership and service. We aspire to honor those who exemplify the best of volunteering, character, leadership and a sense of caring and responsibility for others.   • Imperial County - Vincent Memorial Catholic High School and Brawley Union High School met in El Centro Superior Court on February 15th, 2018 for the Imperial County Mock Trial Competition Championship. After five rounds of intense competition involving teams from Brawley Union High School, Central Union High School, Desert Oasis/Phoenix Rising High, Imperial High School, and Southwest High; Vincent Memorial Catholic High was crowned the 2018 champions and will move on to the state competition later this Spring. 

  • Brawley - The team from Brawley Union High School has been crowned the 2018 Academic Decathlon champions for Imperial County. The Academic Decathlon is a competition that pits local high school teams against each other in 10 different categories (Social Science, Literature, Music, Art, Science, Economics, Mathematics, Writing, Speech and an Interview) all based upon an annual theme.  This year's theme was, Africa.
