Community Schools
Imperial County Office of Education operates four (4) Community Schools to serve district expelled, court ordered and SARB students. These schools are administered in close collaboration with the Imperial County Probation Department.
Community Schools now serve El Centro, Brawley, Calexico, along with other neighboring communities. School districts work closely with the Community School of their attendance zone to facilitate the referral, tenure, and transition processes for students.
Community School programs are highly structured while offering a variety of enrichment opportunities. Most programs require eight-hour school days, while independent studies offers another alternative for students to receive educational services as a short-term solution.

Court Schools
Esther Huff School is located within the Juvenile Hall facility and is administered by the Imperial County Office of Education in close cooperation with the Probation Department of Imperial County. Those students who are incarcerated under the authority of the Juvenile Court receive education services in the Esther Huff School.
