The Imperial County Office of Education is seeking a Request for Qualifications to serve as Expert Trainer and Consultant under Contractual Agreement for a Bullying and School Violence Advocacy Program supported by funding awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Victims of Crime Act, 2015-VA-GX-0058 through the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES). The project provides education advocacy and counseling services for victims of crime and direct services to child/teen victims of bullying and/or school violence in 4th through 8th grades in eight Imperial County school districts. The project is overseen by the Student Well-Being and Family Resources Department. Term of Service is January 1, 2018 to August 31, 2018.
Qualifications must include knowledge and experience serving victims of bullying and/or school violence, including bullying, hate-motivated violence, online bullying, and child/teen victims struggling to cope with the effects of bullying and/or school violence in impoverished communities.
