The ICOE Credentials Office has the authority to issue Temporary County Certificates (TCC) to candidates after it has obtained all required documentation and determined that the candidate qualifies for a California educator credential.
-
The TCC authorizes the teacher candidate to provide the services that the credential specifies in a California public school classroom on the date indicated on the TCC while the document is processing at the state level.
-
The TCC is valid until the expiration date listed on the form or until the Commission on Teacher Credentialing grants or denies the credential application.
-
The TCC is prepared by the Credentials Office.
