Behavioral & Social/Emotional Supports


The Imperial County SELPA promotes positive learning environments for all students through supports, interventions, and services that are evidence-based to meet the needs of individual learners. Behavior specialists are available to provide professional development opportunities, as well as consultative services to District staff (administrators/teachers/school psychologists’, speech therapists’, etc.). Technical assistance may be requested from a Behavior Specialist regarding Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and/or Individual Transition Plan (ITP) development. Behavior Specialist services may be requested to guide school district staff, and parents regarding educationally related social-emotional and behavioral/ mental health needs, positive behavioral interventions & supports, Behavior Intervention Plan development, and/or curricular adaptations/ modifications and resources.
